My no nonsense newsletter will:
The fitness industry is full of hype – whether it’s a new type of class or a new fad diet, chances are you’ve heard it and tried it all. Maybe you’ve been pleased with the results but want more. Maybe you’re tired of working out so much just to maintain your weight. Maybe you’re simply in pain.
Whatever the reason for reading, I am here to tell you that the solution is far simpler than you think:
Creating a Foundation:
At the age of 18, I was told that I was well on my way to a double knee replacement. The pain tempered my enjoyment of life and an outlet I relied heavily on, running, was no longer available to me. The discovery of kettlebells was a life-changer. Training with kettlebells enabled me to me to develop my posterior chain and create stability like never before. They provided strength and conditioning in one, and with the addition of yoga, I had found a routine that would take me through life for the long haul.
Nutrition & Life:
A few years after my knee pain came to a head, I found myself in debilitating stomach pain. I couldn’t keep anything down. I struggled to find answers, seeing a myriad of different doctors all with different diagnoses. I became very thin and unhealthy. Eventually I was diagnosed with over 10 food allergies. My road back to health came by rebuilding my nutrition from scratch. I began to understand what I put in my mouth through a food log, and eliminating my allergens. When I began training for figure competitions, I understood how critical nutrition was at whole new level. Nutrition is the key to fat loss, but must be done in a way that does not go too extreme. By focusing on the content and quality of food, as well as the psychological effects it has on my happiness, I learned how to eat for life.
Less Is More:
I am a very active woman. Movement and sunshine are critical to my personal happiness. And yet, I never used to do anything in moderation. I ran until my knees couldn’t take it. I took fat loss to an unhealthy extreme in figure competitions. The discovery of yoga taught me to be present, take a deep breath, and relax. Kettlebells taught me I could achieve strength and conditioning efficiently, without overdoing it. I learned to slow down.
I am a product of my experiences. My journey to health and happiness has been just that, a journey. I am here to teach smart strength and educate my clientele that you can have the body you want and the life you love with less work than you ever thought possible. You don’t need to live your life on a diet and you don’t need to devote countless hours each week on your fitness regimen.
You already have everything you need. You are enough. I’m here to help you reach lifelong happiness through strength, balance, and nutrition.
